Mid-west Zionists Make Preparations for United Palestine Appeal Drives

A qoota of $100,000 for the United Palestine Appeal was adopted at the Indiana State Conference of Zionists held her. Two hundred delegates representing communities througout the state attended.

A meeting of the Administrative Committee of the Mid-West Zionist Region was held at the same time. Previously Indiana had not belonged to the Mid-West region. At the conference the Indiana group voted to affiliate with the Mid-West organization.

J. A. Goodman of Indianapolis was re-elected chairman of the state organization. Other officers chosen were: Lippa Levine of Indiana Harbor, vice-chairman. A. H, Goldstein of Indianapolis, treasurer. A secretary will be appointed later by the executive committee, composed of Rabbi Miller of Terre Haute, Lewis Levy of South Bend I. Roman of Gary, Miss Minette Eanm of Ft. Wayne, Abraham Goodman of Shelbyville, and L. Wolf, Isidect Feibleman, and Daniel Frisch of Indianapolis.

J. A. Goodman presided over the conference.

Max Schuman who was recently re-elected president of the Mid-West Zionist Region was the principal speaker. Other speakers were H. Steinberg of Chicago chairman of the organization of the Mid-West Region, and Prof G. H. Klaussner.
