Maniu Government Will Vigorously Suppress Attempts at Anti-jewish Riots

A threat made publicly by Octavias Goga, Roumanian poet and fermer Minister of the Interier, netorions anti-Semitic agitator, that anti-Jewish excesses will be asranged to embarrass the new government, brought forth official and ## official statements.

The Maniu Government is determined to proceed vigorously and mercilessly against the intentions of the Averescu party and the Cuza greup to interfere with the constructive program of the new Government by staging anti-Semitic attacks, states a semi-official declaration appearing today in the organs of the National Peasant Party.

A statement to the same effect was made by Prime Minister Maniu to a group of Zionists whom he received in audience today. The head of the government promised the delegation that his cabinet will take all steps necessary to guard the interests of the Jewish population in Roumania.
