The work of the Jewish labor unions in the cities of Kovel, Luck, and Rovno was interrupted by an order of the authorities who demanded that the bookkeeping and the records of the organizations be conducted in the Polish language henceforth.

The books have been kept in Yiddish up to now. The unions were given two weeks time to make the change.
