Mrs. Schiff Gives Luncheon Launching $150,000 Drive

A campaign for $150,000 to complete the Council of Jewish Women’s Building at 1122 Forest Avenue, the Bronx, was launched at a luncheon at the home of Mrs. Jacob H. Schiff.

Among those present were Mrs. Frederick Brown, Mrs. Abram I. Elkus. Mrs. Irving Lehman, Mrs. Henry Morgenthau, Mrs. Henry Moskowitz, Mrs. Adolph S. Ochs, Mrs. Felix Warburg. Mrs. Nathan Straus, Jr., Mrs. Zion de Frece Bernstein, Miss Sara X. Schot-tenfels, Mrs. David Sarnoff. Mrs. Edward Josephy and Mrs. Sol Rosenbloom.

The building will contain kindergarten rooms, gymnasium, library and playground.

Plans were made at the luncheon to conduct a series of meetings and teas to obtain the necessary building funds.
