Bloch, Tel Aviv Mayor, Arrives Here Today

Mayor David Bloch of Tel Aviv, will arrive today on board the steamer Leviathan. He will be met at the pier by a committee of Jewish labor leaders in New York.

Mayor Bloch is coming to this country in the interests of the $500,000 campaign to be conducted by the United Hebrew Trade for institutions in Palestine sponsored by laborers. Mr. Bloch is accompanied by Israel Mereminsky, General Secretary of the Palestine Federation of Labor.

The reception committee includes Abraham Shiplokoff, former Assemblyman, as Chairman, and the following associate chairmen: Herman Bernstein, Benjamin Schlesinger, President of the International Ladies’ Garment Workers: Abraham Cahan, Editor of the “Jewish Daily Forward”; Max Zaritzky, President of the International Cap Makers’ Union; David Pinski, Maurice Feinstone, General Secretary of the United Hebrew Trades.
