Message in Reply to Congratulations of Zionist General Council (Jewish Telegraphic Agency)
Replying to a message of congratulations on behalf of the Zionist General Council which was in session here, Sir John Chancellor, new High Commissioner of Palestine, sent the following telegram to Dr. Chaim Weizmann:
“Please convey to the World Zionist Executive my warm thanks for their kind congratulations on my appointment as High Commissioner of Palestine.
“I share their hope that my term of office will mark a further stage in the establishment of the Jewish National Home and the development of Palestine to the advantage of all its inhabitants.”
