The Canadian Zionist Organization’s income doubled during the last three years and the net income has almost been tripled. Over $270,000 were collected during 1928, as compared with $221,000 in 1927, $205,000 in 1926, $134,000 in 1925 and $136,000 in 1924. Administration expenses this year being only 19% as compared with 25 and 34% in previous periods, the net income is now over $18,000 per month, as compared with $12,500 previously to the last convention in Winnipeg and $8,600 before the convention three years ago.
The income of the Jewish National Fund, however, shows a decline of $7,000. Rabbi Zlotnik, Executive Director of the Zionist Organization, stated, issuing a special appeal for effort on behalf of the Jewish National Fund during the coming Chamisho Osor, on January 27, for the planting of ten thousand trees in the Herzl Forest in Palestine.
