Prof. W. F. Albright, for many years Director of the American School of Archaeology in Jerusalem, will be the first Christian scholar to be honored by the Hebrew University. It was learned today that the University will confer upon Dr. Albright honorary membership in the Institute of Jewish Studies. The presentation will take place at exercises on Friday.
Dr. Albright is soon to leave Jerusalem to become director of the Semitics department of Johns Hopkins University, Baltimore.
