The special conference of Jewish communities in Old Roumania held here yesterday, unanimously adopted a resolution to ratify the protest formulated by all Roumanian Jewish leaders against the bill introduced into parliament by the government to change the religious law.

The conference authorized the communities’ Federation, in cooperation with the Union of Roumanian Jews, the Jewish Parliamentary Club and the National Club to combat by all means the measure which is now pending. Its immediate withdrawal is to be nisisted upon.

It was explained that the bill, if enacted into law, would deprive the Jewish community of its homogeneous character and would split Jewish religious life into a multitude of small groups and congregations.
