Sir John Chancellor was present at a luncheon here of the organization Men of Trees, which has for its purpose the promotion of afforestation.

The Palestine High Commissioner stated he was very impressed with the work done in the Balfour Forest, where three to four hundred acres were already planted. Reafforestation, being a vital need, will make a great difference in Palestine’s climate. Every penny spent for afforestation in Palestine is well and economically expended, he declared.

Sir John is proceeding to Geneva, where the Permanent Mandates Commission is in session. He will remain ten days, replying to questions put by members of the Commission on the Palestine administration.
