Doubt that Jewish immigration to Canada will be affected by the decision last week of the Canadian government to bar all immigration from Europe except the kin of aliens resident in Canada and experienced farmers, is expressed in reliably informed Jewish circles. Jewish immigration is not likely to be affected because Jewish immigrants have not been dependent on transportation companies’ permits for three years.
Permits for Jewish immigrants are obtained through official procedure and the Relations Act and are endorsed by a member of parliament. The government is aware that Jewish immigrants are well-maintained.
