Erhard Mayer has been elected chairman of the administrative board of the Zionist Organization of this city. He succeeds Dr. David Fichman, executive director of the local Young Men’s Hebrew Association.

An administrative committee will henceforth govern the affairs of the New Orleans Zionists, it was decided. The committee chairman will act in the capacity of president and will be assisted by two other members to be named later.

Philip Brener was chosen vice-president, Moses E. Brener, secretary, and Herman Bratman, treasurer, at the annual meeting which witnessed the induction of officers for the ensuing year.

A movement to collect all allied groups in New Orleans for a general cultural effort was discussed by the Zionists. This will consist of monthly programs along Jewish lines, designed mainly to interest members of the faith in the culture of their forefathers.
