King Carol has sent a Christmas gift of 10,000 lei to the Jewish Community of Bucharest for its welfare institutions. An accompanying message written by the Court Chamberlain, M. Iliescu, explains that the King wishes the money to be utilised for the benefit of the Jewish poor of the capital.
