Today’s “Daily Herald,” which is regarded as the organ of the Parliamentary Labor Party and the British Trade Union Congress, devotes more than a page to the situation of the Jews in Germany.

In its issue of March 1st, the “Daily Herald” had already reported details of the proposed Hitlerist plot to convert the Nazi torch-light processions ordered for next Saturday evening into a general massacre of German Jewry.

In today’s issue, the “Daily Herald” says that the murder campaign against Jews has reached a most dangerous stage and it is only a matter of hours when tens of thousands of Jews, under the pretext of Communism and Marxism may be subjected to wholesale slaughter. It adds that “vengeance threatens every man, woman, and child in the Jewish community.”

The paper reports that the highest quarters in London have received proof to the effect of the seriousness and the reality of the threat, and that intervention is imminent, although it is not yet clear what form such intervention would take. It also makes mention of the utter powerlessness of British Jewry at this juncture, as any act on their part might serve as a signal for the commencement of the slaughter.
