The petition of Franz Bernheim regarding violation of the rights of the Jews in the plebiscite area of Upper Silesia will be discussed by the Council of the League of Nations on Friday, as forecasted, it was learned last night, but the German delegation will demand that the session Friday be a closed one and that open discussion of the case be deferred until Saturday.
It was learned from reliable sources that the German cabinet has prepared a declaration to be read to the Council embracing the following points which vitally concern also the Jewish population of the Reich.
The first point in this declaration is the withdrawal of German objections to the admissibility of the Bernheim petition.
