Levy Traces World Bigotry to Economic Depression

The economic depression is responsible for the racial, religious and national bigotry rampant all over the world at present, Manhattan Borough President Samuel Levy declared in a radio address over station WMSG Friday. “Men everywhere have sunk into the mire of selfishness and look with suspicion and antagonism on their fellow men. Germany, once the land of culture and progress, now furnishes a convincing and depressing instance of a people fallen prey to the evil forces of darkness that now envelop the land,” he said.
