Deputies Meyer Ebner and Michael Landau, members of the Roumanian parliament, and leading members of the Jewish party, visited the Minister of the Interior today on behalf of the Jewish party, stressing the growing menace of anti-Semitic agitation.
The delegation pointed out that despite the fact that three different Jewish delegations visited the government recently describing the incitements of the anti-Semites and received assurances from the Roumanian government, nothing as yet has been actually undertaken to check anti-Semitism.
The deputies called the attention of the Minister to the particularly virulent form anti-Semitism has assumed in the provinces of Bessarabia and Bucovina, where there are large numbers of Jews.
The Minister promised the delegation to bring the entire matter before the next cabinet meeting.
