Plans are being made here for a joint drive to be undertaken soon for the relief of German Jewry and the Jewish Agency for Palestine.

Spurred on by the recent visit of Rabbi Jonah B. Wise, who was suddenly called from this city by the passing of his mother, workers have pledged themselves to the new campaign, which will be linked with other appeals throughout the country. Those assisting in formulating the drive here include:

Leonard Haas, district representative of the American Jewish Committee; Max Goldstein, president of the Temple; Dr. David Marx, rabbi of the Temple; Harold Hirsch, prominent attorney; H. A. Alexander, B’nai B’rith leader; Rabbi Harry H. Epstein, of Congregation Ahavath Achim, and I. J. Paradies, active communal worker.
