More than 800 people honored the memory of the Mizrachi leader, Harry Karp, who died several weeks ago. The memorial service was held in the auditorium of the Yeshiva College.
Max Hagler, vice-president of Mizrachi Youth, presided, and Cantor Samuel Gertner recited the Psalms. Among the speakers were Rabbi Israel Elfenbein of Congregation Knesseth Israel of Sea Gate; Rabbi A. D. Burack, for the Jewish National Fund; Dr. Simon Bernstein, for the Palestine Immigration department of the Zionist Organization; Abraham Goldberg; Isidore Epstein, president of Mizrachi Youth; Rabbi Harry Wohlberg, for Yeshiva College; B. Epstein, for the Zionist Revisionists, and Rabbi Wolf Gold, president of the Mizrachi. A sum of $2,500 was raised for the Karp Memorial Fund, to perpetuate the memory of the Mizrachi leader.
