It is reported in local Jewish circles that the attempt of the Nazis to gain control of the Turn Verein, large German organization here, has failed.
Basis for the report is the fact that the board of directors of the Turn Verein have turned down a request from the Nazis that the mass meetings of the latter be held in the Verein hall.
It has been known that a struggle for control of this outstanding German organization has been in progress for some time.
