Sydney W. Carroll, writing in the Sunday Times, comments on “The House of Rothschild,” screen hit, as follows:

“I cannot help querying the wisdom, from a Jew’s point of view, of circulating throughout the world, or that portion of the world that will accept it, a film that cannot as propaganda serve any other purpose than to ask Christians to believe that the only Jews in the world are good Jews; that in a battle of wits the Jew is always superior to his antagonists; that as husbands, fathers, lovers and business-men they have no equal, whilst they are perpetually surrounded by villains and anti-Semites anxious to destroy them. Propaganda of this kind is like a boomerang, that may return and injure its sender.”

Whether it’s local, domestic or foreign, if it’s news about Jewish life you’ll find it in the Jewish Daily Bulletin.
