The Jewish world conference today adopted a resolution asking for national minority rights and protection for the Jews of Germany. Another resolution adopted urged the countries which are members of the League of Nations to be more strict in the observance of their national minority obligations.
While the conference adopted no resolution on the status of the Jews in the Soviet Union, the executive of the conference was authorized to enter, if necessary, into informal negotiations with the Soviet government regarding Zionism, Hebrew and the Jewish religion in Soviet Russia.
A special resolution was adopted demanding the extension of minority protection where existing minority obligations were not being carried out fully.
Tributes will be paid tonight at the closing session to the memory of Victor Jacobson, pioneer Zionist leader, who died today in Berne, Switzerland.
