Biro-bidjan Will Elect Permanent Government at Congress on Dec. 15

The first Biro-Bidjan Soviet congress will be held on December 15 and will elect a government for the autonomous Jewish region in Siberia, the Soviet government decided today.

On May 7, 1934, the Central Exceutive Committee of the Soviet government proclaimed Biro-Bidjan an autonomous Jewish region and appointed temporary government consisting of seven Jews and one non-Jew.
