The Young Israel Employment Bureau yesterday reported placing more applicants for positions in the past month than in any other month during the last five years.
Among those employed through the bureau were eighteen stenographers, nineteen bookkeepers, twenty-one general office clerks, eight salesmen, six shipping clerks, two junior accountants, one assistant manager, three secretaries, fourteen typists, one law clerk and eight girls for sewing and other light factory work.
Two of the applicants were German refugees.
