The most extensive religious ban on poultry ever proclaimed in the United States is expected to result from a conference of the entire New York orthodox Jewish rabbinate at noon today at the Hotel Pennsylvania.

The Kashruth Association, representing a united front of rabbis, has indicated it will ban every fowl in Greater New York. No kosher poultry slaughterer will be permitted to kill poultry and no person adhering to orthodox Judaism will be permitted to buy or eat it.

This move follows refusal of poultry market-men to accept the decision of Judge Otto A. Rosalsky, the Mayor’s mediator in difficulties besetting the poultry industry establishing rabbinical supervision of markets.
