A Jewish male child, the first to be born in Poland since the death of Pilsudski, was named Josef at its circumcision ceremony today, in memory of the late Marshal.

The child was born in Rovno, the city where the Rabbinate had decreed that all Jewish boys born this month should be named Josef. The father of the infant is a poor tailor, Peretz Muznik. The Jewish Community of Rovno met the cost of the ceremony, performed in the presence of many Jewish leaders.
