Several scores of Palestinian journalists have been invited by Dr. Soskin to review the achievements of the new settlement Naharia, in the north of Palestine, near the Syria frontier.
This settlement, established for the middle class and especially for German Jews, is only six months old, but one can see the development of the place, with its few dwelling and several tractors gaily working.
Dr. Soskin explained to the gathering of journalists the aims and ways of work of the new settlement.
“This is the first experiment of an intensive agricultural colonization in Palestine.
“This place, Naharia, will, when ready, consist of 225-250 Jewish settlers on parcels from five to nine dunams each. For the time being there are only seventy-five parcels sold.”
The first colonists are already settled.
