The Union of Jewish People’s Banks has started publication of a weekly in the Lithuanian language to counteract the anti-Semitism that is finding expression in a large section of the Lithuanian press. The new publication publishes facts concerning various false reports about the Jews and their activity in Lithuania which find their way into newspapers here.

The latest manifestation of anti-Semitism occurred at the Kaunas University. The students of the medical faculty met to have a group picture taken, but the Lithuanian students refused to be photographed together with the Jewish students and demanded that the latter be photographed apart from the Lithuanian students.

In protest, the Jewish students refused to be included in the photograph at all.
