As far as could be ascertained peace continued to prevail throughout Palestine Saturday.

An official communique reported that there was little Arab traffic on the roads and none at all in Jerusalem.

A procession in Tulkarem, near which occurred the holdup by Arabs of Jews that supplied the spark that set off the fatal rioting, was dispersed by police.

Other incidents reported were the arrest of a Communist on charges of posting a manifesto in Abukedir and the breaking out of small fires in fields adjacent to Beisan, Nazareth and suburban districts.

Arab leaders met Saturday morning to discuss continuation of the general strike, which has given marked indications of crumbling, but adjourned without reaching a final decision. They were expected to reconvene in the late afternoon, at which time a decision was to be taken.
