Mrs. Felix M. Warburg celebrated the ninetieth birthday of her father, the late Jacob H. Schiff, by giving $90,000 today to the Semi-Centennial Fund of the Jewish Theological Seminary of America. News of the gift was received by Dr. Cyrus Adler, president of the Seminary, in a letter from Mrs. Warburg, who is now in Palm Beach, Florida.
The Seminary marked Mr. Schiff’s birthday by opening a special exhibit of rare books and manuscripts given to the Seminary by Mr. Schiff and other of its founders and early benefactors. The exhibit is being held in the Museum in the Schiff Memorial Building.
