UNDER PRESSURE FROM THE NAZI-CONTROLLED SENATE OF THE FREE CITY, JUDGE BEHREND AND JUDGE ABRAMSOHN, BOTH JEWS, RESIGNED FROM THE BENCH ON PENSIONS TODAY. BOTH JURISTS ARE WORLD WAR VETERANS AND THEREFORE COULD NOT HAVE BEEN DISMISSED. PRESSURE WAS ALSO APPLIED FOR THE RESIGNATION OF THE SOLITARY JEWISH MUNICIPAL EMPLOYE.
