Police engaged an Arab band attempting to damage a bridge on the Jerusalem-Tel Aviv road, capturing one bandit.

Labor unrest continued to spread. Scores of unemployed demonstrated at the Jewish colony of Petach Tikvah, invading the local council office. Police arrested nine of them. At Hedera, jobless picketed the local council carrying signs reading, “We want work.”
