A $50,000 fund to aid the 70,000 Jews of Yemen and Aden is being sought by a newly-formed American committee for Yemenite Jews, which includes Rebekah Kohut, David Freiberger, Rabbis Samuel Goldenson, Herbert S. Goldstein, Leo Jung, David de Sola Pool and Milton Steinberg, and Abraham Mazer. Of this fund, $20,000 will be used for immediate relief and $30,000 to establish a Yemenite free loan Society in Palestine, to be administered by the United Community of Yemenites in Palestine as a revolving fund. Mr. Freiberger is secretary of the committee, and Mr. Mazer is treasurer. Invitations have been sent to a number of Jewish leaders to serve on the committee.
