The forthcoming Evian conference was asked today in a memorandum by Jewish leaders to solve the emigration problem not only of Austrian and German Jewry but of East European Jewry as well. The memorandum, signed by Chief Rabbi Federbusch and President Pergament of the Jewish Community, expressed Finland Jewry’s thanks to President Roosevelt for convoking the conference.
