The three-day 17th annual conference of the Yiddish Scientific Institute, which was attended by 293 delegates representing various Jewish organizations, concluded last night after proclaiming a campaign for $75,000 to be raised during 1943.

The conference received greetings from a number of American colleges and universities. It was addressed by Jewish historians, sociologists and experts on national minority problems on various subjects concerning Jewish cultural and social life during the war and post-war period. A resolution voicing encouragement to the suffering Jewish populations in Nazi-held Europe was adopted at the closing session of the conference. Another resolution greeted the members of the Institute serving in the armed forces of the Allied Nations.
