Arabs Will Spend Two Million Dollars in America and England for Propaganda Work

The sum of two million dollars will be expended by the pan-Arab League in propaganda offices which will be opened in Washington and in London to conduct wide-scale pro-Arab and anti-Zionist agitation in the United States and in England, it was reported in the press here today.

Reproducing the full program adopted by the pan-Arab League in connection with the activities of these two offices, the London newspapers reveal that $600,000 has been earmarked by the Arab League for publicity activities in the United States. For London, the League has allocated not loss than $1,000,000 for the same purpose.

It is stipulated by the league that its activities in Washington shall not be linked with any elements conducting anti-Jewish or anti-British proganda. At the same time it is not to limit itself to propaganda on Palestine, but present the events in Palestine as part of general life in the Near East from the Arab point of view.

The general objectives of the two propaganda offices will, according to the published program:

1. To “prove” that it is not in the interosts of the United States and England that Palestine be established as a Jewish State.

2. To bring to American and British attention the social and economic arguments advanced by the Arabs.

3. To popularize among Americans and Englishmen the religious and ethnical arguments of the Arabs.

4. To reveal the Arab contributions to the Allied war effort.

Four prominent Arab leaders have been designated for the work in London and Washington. The same leaders will also visit the Vatican.
