Under the heading “Disquieting Rumors,” the Zionist Review, organ of the Zionist Federation of Great Britain, today publishes an editerial citing press reports concerning the plans of the British Government with regard to Palestine, and warning the Government not to follow the previous cabinet’s line of urging Jews to have patience.

Appealing to the members of the Labor Government to remember their own pledges the editorial says: “The intention of the government is to have peace in Palestine. But in fact they encourage the Arab extremist leaders and are taxing Jewish patience to a breaking point.” The article emphasized that the Government must not overrate Arab intransigence and underrate the strength of the Jews in Palestine.

The office of the Arab League in London tonight launched a full-blast propaganda campaign against Jewish interests in Palestine at a reception tendered to a group of Iraquian leaders visiting Britain. Speakers at the reception, to which foreign and British journalists were invited, charged Britain with not fulfilling her pledges to the Arabs and warned that Egypt, Syria, Iraq and other Arab countries have decided to support the Arabs in Palestine under all circumatances.
