Approximately 100 members of the Kfar Etzion settlement, which has been under heavy Arab Legion attack for several days, were killed today during a three-hour bombardment by Arab artillery, it was reported here by the Jewish Agency.
In a statement issued in Damascus today the ex-Mufti of Jerusalem took issue with King Abdullah who earlier in the week said that the Palestine Arab Higher Committee, dominated by the Mufti, has brought nothing but “misery” to the Palestine Arabs. “It is not unlikely that Jewish circles inspired the statement, the Mufti asserted. “I do not believe that such a statement, far from, the truth, facts and logic, could have emanated from King Abdullah.”
