Preparations for an Israeli delegation to leave For Lausanne to participate in the May 26th U.N. parley with the Arab states are fully under way, it was learned here today. The government is expected to announce the composition of the delegation within the next few days. Meanwhile, Pablo Azcarate, secretary of the U.N. Palestine Conciliation Commission, and most members of the secretariat left for the Swiss city yesterday.

It will reportedly contain ten men and will be headed by Dr. Walter Eytan, ?rector-general of the Foreign Ministry, and will include Eliahu Sassoon, Arab ##pert; Jacob Robinson, an international law expert; Israel Fruakin, an expert on Israel’s border problems; and either Col. Yigal Yadin, Army chief of operations, or Lt. ##l. Moshe Dayan, former head of the Israeli forces in Jerusalem, as the military expert. Also included will be specialists on trade and refugees and a secretary.

One of the prospective delegates today told the Jewish Telegraphic Agency that the Israelis hope that the Lausanne parley will be converted into “real peace ##lks” since the “terrain has already been prepared.” He assorted that the Army states and agreed to attend the Lausanne conference not because of pressure by the Conciliation Commission, but because they were compelled to do so by the existence of the state of Israel and its military victories.
