Israeli Minister in London Proposes Establishment of Angle-israeli Chamber of Commerce

Rear Admiral Solomon S. Isquith, U.S.N. (ret.), was elected president of the American Zebulun, an organization aiding in the development of the seafaring industry in Israel, it was announced here today.

Admiral Asquith, winner of the Navy Cross, awarded to him for bravery under fire as commanding officer of the USS Utah during the Japanese attack on Pearl Harbor, accepted the post as president of the American Zebulun because of his “interest in helping in the revival of maritime activities and maritime schools in Israel,” the enouncement added.

“American Zebulun,” Admiral Asquith stated, “will give both financial and ?oral support to the parent body–the Zebulun Seafaring Society in Israel. Many distinguished Americans, leaders in the Zionist movement, have Joined American Zebulun to help in establishing maritime schools and to promote the industry in Israel which will provide tens of thousands of immigrants with Jobs so sorely needed for a stable economy of the Jewish state,” he “added.
