A report on peace negotiations now being conducted by Israel with King Abdullah of Transjordan and neighboring Arab countries was submitted today by Israel Foreign Minister Moshe Sharett to the foreign affairs committee of the Knesset. Mr. Sharett also reported on the international situation as well as on the situation in the United Nations with regard to Jerusalem.

Menachem Beigin, leader of the Herut Party, addressing a conference of his group, vigorously attacked Mr. Sharett for Israel’s negotiations with King Abdullah. He said that these negotiations “only harm our international situation.” The Herut conference, which will continue for two days, was convoked for discussions on Israel’s future economic structure as well as on the foreign policy of the Jewish state.
