The Neue Zeitung, German-language newspaper here, today publishes an interview with Marshal Tito of Yugoslavia in which he accuses the Soviet Union and some of the countries of Eastern Europe of harboring anti-Semitism.
“It is regrettably true that anti-Semitism is growing,” Tito declared. “There are now such strong tendencies in Russia. We no longer consider the Russians as Marxists. They have become imperialists. They are not yet following Hitler’s policy, but the latest Budapest expulsions give food for thought and there’s no telling where it will end.”
