An agreement was reached this week between the Italian and Israel Governments granting to El Al Israel Airlines fifth freedom rights in Rome. Fifth freedom gives to El Al, which formerly could carry passengers between Rome and Tel Aviv the further rights of transportation from Rome to New York, Athens and Vienna.
The Italian Government has made a grant of 510,000 lira to a fund to enable Israeli students to continue their studies in Italian high schools.
