Label A. Katz, 38-year-old New Orleans attorney, yesterday was named by B’nai B’rith as 1956 recipient of the Sam Beber Distinguished Alumnus Award. The award is made annually by Aleph Zadik Aleph, a constituent of B’nai B’rith’s youth organization, to an alumnus who has made notable contributions to Jewish life in America. The award is named for Sam Beber. Chicago attorney, who founded the B’nai B’rith youth movement in 1924 in Omaha, Nebraska.
