Sixteen Jewish members of the provincial parliaments were returned to their posts in yesterday’s provincial council elections throughout South Africa, in a quiet election free of any “Jewish issues” or anti-Jewish propaganda. Ten of the candidates were unopposed. The successful Jewish candidates were all of the United Party.
