Churchill Planned Settling Displaced Jews in Former Italian Colonies

Winston Churchill had told the late Josef Stalin, during the Potsdam Conference in 1945, that he had considered a plan for settling displaced Jews in former Italian colonies, it was revealed here this weekend.

The disclosure came through the publication of official United States diplomatic papers related to the Potsdam Conference. According to the papers, Mr. Churchill told Stalin that he had consulted some prominent Jews about the plan, and found they were not interested.
