Leon Dulczin returned here yesterday from his visit to Australia on behalf of the United Jewish Appeal and told newsmen that it appeared likely that the contributions of Australian Jewry would double this year. He added that interest in aliyah by Australian Jews had increased and that 700-800 Australian Jews are expected to arrive in Israel next year. On his way to Australia, Dulczin reported, he stopped off in Hong Kong where he opened the UJA campaign. He told newsmen that all the members of the Jewish community there had attended the UJA meeting and had pledged contributions which would double last year’s total.
