Five men picketed peacefully in front of the Soviet United Nations Mission for 90 minutes today in what Glenn Richter, national coordinator of the Student Struggle for Soviet Jewry, described as a symbolic “Fathers’ Day” vigil in behalf of the Jewish fathers in the Soviet Union whose children are imprisoned for facing trial. The pickets carried signs demanding freedom for the nine Jews expected to go on trial tomorrow in Kishinev.
