The Israel Defense Forces will hold a 24-hour mobilization test within the next few days. the exercise will involve several thousand men. The call-up will be conducted through special codes that will be announced over radio and television and through newspapers and placards. Special measures will also be taken should a real emergency arise during the exercise.
Israelis have been asked to give reserve soldiers lifts to their units. Civilian vehicles will also be called up during the exercise and their owners will drive them to the assembly point, register them and the vehicles will then be released. Should the car of a reserve soldier who is being mobilized also be called up. he will take the car to the assembly point and then go to his unit.
