Jewish Facility Damaged by Bomb

A house accommodating several Jewish families was severely damaged by a bomb explosion last night. There were no injuries and no immediate clues, but a recent rash of anti-Semitic graffiti in the neighborhood points to neo-Nazis.

The damaged building is owned by the Jewish Club for Culture and Education. Several cars parked in front were destroyed and the windows of nearby buildings were shattered by the blast.

There was a wave of bombings against Jewish personalities and Jewish businesses all over Austria three years ago for which members of a neo-Nazi gang were convicted and sentenced to prison terms. Neo-Nazi activity has been limited to leaflets and propaganda since then.
